Major Account Executive

Essential Job Functions:

  • Participate in the bid process for major accounts and finalist meetings if selected
  • Coordinate core finalist team strategy that supports multiple service locations
  • Responsible for securing all needed installation information from agent and or group
  • Coordinate contract drafting and review team. Gain internal and external sign-off
  • Responsible for final review prior to customer receipt
  • Work with various departments to assure the complete implementation and installation of new major accounts
  • Design and implement a customized service strategy for each major account and train group administrators and internal staff accordingly
  • Responsible for achieving high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Maintains defined levels of customer persistency within their assigned block
  • Identifies opportunities to cross sell and up sell FDL coverages
  • Participate in enrollment meetings when necessary
  • Communicate internally regarding account’s characteristics and administrative model
  • Serve as customer advocate, act as liaison between internal departments and the customer. Address service issues and drive resolution development and implementation
  • Proactive contact with clients, attend regular client meetings as requested, deliver agreed to reports and Performance Guarantees when needed
  • Work in partnership with sales rep to present renewals, if needed

Job Requirements:

  • College degree in Business or Marketing
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the Group Life and Disability Insurance industry, with sales support, marketing support, group underwriting or customer service
  • Group insurance product knowledge with life and disability
  • Effective presentation skills including the development of presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to travel; address customer needs and make sound decisions; build strong customer relations
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
