Available outside New York, Benefits Manager offers employers a quick, convenient and secure menu of online services designed to work with your group's preferred billing method.
We offer three different billing options:
- Self-Administered Billing: The employer's administrator maintains all employee eligibility and enrollment records. This allows the group administrator to make employee additions, employee terminations and other changes to its group insurance plan immediately. Total coverage information and premium payments are sent to Fort Dearborn Life. With this billing method:
- Reference billing and payment history, and "paid through" dates online
- Download employee certificates, rate grids and administrative forms; view Short-Term Disability claims history (available for select groups)
- Register now
- List Billing: Fort Dearborn Life can manage enrollment additions, terminations and changes. We submit a detailed billing statement that reflects any premium changes made to the group. With this billing method:
- Review coverage and enrollment information online
- Reference billing and payment history, and "paid through" dates online
- Download employee certificates, rate grids and administrative forms; view Short-Term Disability claims history (available for select groups)
- Register now
- Self-Administered Web Billing: Our Web-based program allows an employer to access, update and maintain enrollment and billing online. The group administrator simply remits premium payments along with a remittance page using the tools provided in Benefits Manager. Through Benefits Manager , Fort Dearborn Life offers administrative solutions designed to work with your group's preferred billing method, providing secure online access to coverage, enrollment and billing information that is applicable to your group's needs, allowing benefits administrators to do their job quickly and efficiently.

- List Billing: Coverage information is managed by us and billed in paper form. Register now.
- Self-Administered Billing: Coverage information is provided by you monthly, along with payment. Register now.
